This is bliss, this
Night to kiss
And weigh down on my mouth
And weigh down on mine eyes
Oh weigh into my lungs,
Fall in.
Be this night and go
Tum-b-ling
Tum-b-ling
Slowly with my breath.
Sweet gulps of cold air
Be the night in me
Asleep.
I like this one very much
Love this – love the playfulness, the simplicity, the sense of savouring the words and the feelings. Beautiful
A thought and I haven’t done the complete re-read, but what about starting here…it’s an invitation into the night world that your poems grow out of. That half conscious, intuitive place that is part real/part surreal.?
