It’s beautiful today.

In the north the mist flies

from the ocean straight into the suns rays.

Through the mountains behind the sea,

light sporadically illuminates the pure white breakers.

The clean swell glows green before bursting into palomino froth.

The sounds are also different.

Birds call, sweet and twittering.

Small larks fly, their wings black against the gradient yellow to rich light blue sky.

The sea is a constant sigh, the occasional wave

booming into the shallows like thunder.

My jaw drops as a huge pelican falls

from nowhere to skim above the wet sand.

A splash catches my eye.

It’s not a dolphin, just a hunting bird – bomber.

Then quite high a sea-eagle flies

none too elegantly through the air

(he has a fish)

He is out there in the freezing water.

Everything is fine with him.

The world is beautiful.

‘Jaw drops” pelican “falls” ?? The repeat of drops appears clumsy – even if you intended the repeat to mean something.
    Eagle hawk flies” not fly’s.
What about lines that can enhance the images? Especially this could alert the reader to shifts and rhythms and the rather neat way the poem starts and ends with the beauty.

I think it would have been a sea eagle,
detail I know but sea eagles have their place ( bundgalung totem ) besides sea eagles sound rather grand wheras an eagle hawk isn’t really a sort of bird, or is it?
I presume the he thats out there in the freezing water is surfing not an eagle hawk? but thats only cos I might know that. others might need more clues
